Sunflower
Details: 1/160 sec at f/7.1, 64 ISO, 200 mm focal length (35 mm equiv.)
I went by Disch-Falk Field a few days ago so I could update my renovation photos and found this lovely thing sticking up over the fence. It was probably about 6 feet in the air and I could just barely get a good angle for the photo. Too much chain link fence in the way!

Sunset Number 6...I think
Details: 1/100 sec at f/5.6, 64 ISO, 28 mm focal length (35 mm equiv.)
I took this photo on my drive home on Father's Day evening. I didn't really mean to take FM 969 home that night. My car just turned down that road of its own free will. And, then I saw the clouds and the sunset and... Well... You know the story. I had my camera in the back so had to stop and take some photos.

Shiny Green Bug!
Rick Lee posted a photo of a shiny bug so that prompted me to go looking for my old "shiny green bug" photo:
Details: 1/200 sec at f/3.5, 100 ISO, 200 mm focal length (35 mm equiv.)
I took this photo back in April of 2004. I couldn't get over how shiny and glittery it was. Fascinating and icky...all at the same time.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there...especially mine! 'Love you, Dad.
Update. Rick says it's probably a "Caterpillar Hunter" and according to the U. of Arkansas' Arthropod Museum Notes, I think he's right!
