Shiny Green Bug!

Rick Lee posted a photo of a shiny bug so that prompted me to go looking for my old "shiny green bug" photo:

[Shiny Green Bug]
Details: 1/200 sec at f/3.5, 100 ISO, 200 mm focal length (35 mm equiv.)

I took this photo back in April of 2004. I couldn't get over how shiny and glittery it was. Fascinating and icky...all at the same time.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there...especially mine! 'Love you, Dad.

Update. Rick says it's probably a "Caterpillar Hunter" and according to the U. of Arkansas' Arthropod Museum Notes, I think he's right!
