Yep...fence posts
Remember my photo of the flag snagged on the fence? Remember the Giant Orange Pencils?
Well. Jennie and I drove out to Bastrop this afternoon to check on the house. And, I remembered to take FM 969 so I could take a look at the Giant Orange Pencils. And, Yeah...Katie was right, they're fence posts:

Details: 1/250 sec at f/6.3, 64 ISO, 76mm focal length (35mm equiv.)
They are on a bit of a rise from where I took the original photo...thus the "Giant" effect. In fact, they're pretty much regular ol' fence posts...nothing out of the ordinary, size-wise.
So, now Katie can do an "I was right!" jig if'n she pleases. I'm guessing she won't please. But, you just never know 'bout that girl. Hmmmm. Now that I think on it, she's more likely to sing a song. Yep, much more likely to belt out a tune. Which, of course, reminds me of a post card I made for her in July of 2004:
