Can we please take it down a notch?
Yo, sound people at Disch-Falk. I'm talking to you.
Can you please lower the volume by about half? Things weren't so bad at the beginning of the season but it's getting really bad again. Every game, it's just a little bit louder. It was so bad last night that the vibrations from the sound system were actually giving me a stomach ache. Throwing all that volume at us does not make us want to cheer louder for the team. All it does is make us wish we knew which one of you was responsible so we could knock some sense into you. It also makes us just a bit resentful, and...in point of fact...we're actually less likely to cheer loudly for the team because it's all so pointless. Whenever we do get up a bit of steam on our own, you start with the pre-recorded crap. Please, please, please show us a wee bit of respect (not to mention, sympathy) and lower the volume. Please.
And, while you're at it: could you please use a recording of the TEXAS LONGHORN MARCHING BAND playing the National Anthem when you don't have a live performer? Instead of that a cappella boy group? This is THE UNIVERSITY OF TEXAS after all.
Sigh...
