CWS - Day 3

Cal State Fullerton v. Georgia Tech. I got to see the first 1.1 innings and that was it. 'Sounds like I missed a good game. Georgia Tech scored 3 in the 1st (I saw the first score before leaving to have a very nice late lunch with Mom, Dad, Jennie and Eddie for Father's Day). It didn't look very good for the Titans as I headed out the door. However, trailing 4-5 going into the top of the 9th, Cal State Fullerton managed to score 3 and then hold on to win 7-5. So, Georgia Tech is out and headed home.

Clemson v. North Carolina. I got to see most of this game and it was a very good game. North Carolina's Robert Woodard threw a complete game shut out while giving up just 3 hits. It was impressive. North Carolina scored 2 in the 3rd and that proved enough to win 2-0. North Carolina is now in the driver's seat in Bracket 1. They only need to win one more game to move on to the championship series.

Cal State Fullerton and Clemson are scheduled to play on Tuesday for the right to play North Carolina on Wednesday.
