River critter
At one point, on our hike around McKinney Roughs, we get close to the water's edge so we could take photos like this:

We were taking these photos and Jennie suddenly shrieked and ran back up the bank to the trail. I turned and spotted this guy:

Notice his tongue in the middle photo? After looking at us for a few seconds, he got bored and swam away. Heh.
