Music and Art at Pepperdine
One of the things we did on my trip to California was stop in at the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art at Pepperdine to see some Jim Dine drawings. When we walked into the gallery, we saw a young man talking to the two young ladies manning the reception desk. Yes, it's very likely they were three Pepperdine students. It was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon, or so. And, nobody else was around. As Gail, Ivan, and I started walking around, looking at the art, the young man walked into the main gallery, picked up a guitar on the bench and started playing. Classical guitar. It was beautiful. The acoustics were lovely. What a treat.
