Brown Pelicans

[Brown Pelicans]
Details: 1/100 sec at f/7.1, 64 ISO, 200mm focal length (35mm equiv.)

Another from my California trip. We ate lunch at a beach-front restaurant in Malibu one day. And these huge brown pelicans kept flying past us. They were all flying north. I have no idea if that means anything. But, I never saw any flying the other direction. The thing that amazed me the most about them was how close to the water they'd fly. They'd fly so fast. And so low. It was really most amazing. Sadly, I didn't really get any good shots of them. They were too fast for me. But, this one's not bad as a small web-sized photo. It's not at all suitable for printing. But, it's not bad for the web.
