Game 29: Texas at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi
I listened to a couple of innings of the Tuesday game at Corpus but that was about it. The line (from TAMU-CC's NeuLion scoreboard thingy):

The starting line-ups:
| Texas | TAMU-CC | |
|---|---|---|
| Brandon Loy (ss) Mark Payton (rf) Erich Weiss (lf) Lucas Kephart (dh) Tant Shepherd (1b) Jordan Etier (2b) Jonathan Walsh (lf) Kevin Lusson (3b) Jacob Felts (c) Paul Montalbano (cf) |
Montgomery Weston (ss) Logan Nottebrok (3b) Trey Hernandez (1b) Jacob Perales (rf) Matt Holland (lf) Jumpy Garcia (c) Chris Vergne (cf) Jeramie Marek (2b) Caleb Marx (dh) |
Alex Silver also saw his first action late in the game when he pinch-hit and them went in at 3b. Good for him!
It was really nice to see Horns decisively take the lead and keep it. Sam Stafford threw the first 7 innings and had a no-hitter going as he was replaced by Josh Urban for the final two innings of the game. Lots of people complained about taking Stafford out when he was throwing a no-hitter but it made sense to me. He'd already thrown 118 pitches. If he'd thrown 2 more innings, it would've really been pushing things. There's no point, especially in a mid-week non-conference game, in taking that sort of risk. No point at all. Urban, by the way, kept the no-hitter going into the 9th but then gave up a lead-off single in the 9th. Here's a link to the story on the TexasSports.com page: No. 8 Baseball cruises to 8-1 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.
