They've only got two fall games scheduled this year...as opposed to four played last year. Teams can play up to 56 games a year. We ended up one game short of the limit last year (51 games in the regular season and 4 in the fall; a non-conference game against Baylor early in the spring was rained out and never rescheduled). With only 52 games scheduled last spring, it proved difficult getting to the magic number of 40 wins last season. This year, we'll have 2 more games to work with. Note that fall games count toward game limits but not toward the official record. We've only got two games scheduled against Rice this year. I'm guessing one of the Astros College Classic games will likely be played against Rice, though. And, one 4-game series scheduled with Iowa. Interesting. We had two 4-game series last year (Illinois-Chicago and Penn State).

By the way, I'm sure it's all subject to change.

Hook 'em!
