Big 12 Tournament, Day 2
Kansas State beat Nebraska 5-1 in the second game this evening. So, all of the teams in the Texas pool are at 1-1. That means 2 teams will be at 2-1 and two at 1-2 after Saturday's games. Any of the four teams can still make the Championship Game based on how things play out on Saturday:
- Texas advances if they beat Nebraska and KSU beats the Aggies
- Nebraska advances if they beat Texas and the Aggies beat KSU
- TAMU advances if they beat KSU and Texas beats Nebraska
- KSU advances if they beat TAMU and Nebraska beats Texas
I kinda like the fact that nobody's got a lock on going forward. I dunno why but I do. I wonder if the other pool can manage to get themselves into the same situation tomorrow? Missouri and Oklahoma State have to win their games in order for that to happen. I've got my fingers crossed!
By the way, the Horns will know if they've got a shot by the time they play on Saturday because the KSU/TAMU game will be over. If the Aggies win the first game on Saturday, the Horns will know they're out of the running. If the Wildcats win, the Horns will still have a chance. Nerve wracking.
By the way #2: Go 'Cats! Heh heh.
