Game 6: Stanford at Texas

Whew. Turns out I was right. The only place to go from Game 1 was up.

After losing 6 straight against Stanford (all at Stanford) over the last couple of seasons, last night's game was great. Parker French bounced back from last week's nightmare at Cal to earn his first win of the season. He also threw a career high 8 strikeouts. Mark Payton is killing it with his bat and doing a great job in cf. After last night's game, he's batting .577 and leads the conference in slugging, hits, triples (3!), and total bases. So glad he's back for his senior season.

I missed the opener on Tuesday and was happy to be there last night. The team looked good. Here's hoping for more of the same. Hook 'em, Horns!

Game 1: Texas at Cal

No, this doesn't mean I'm starting back up. I just... I just...

Wow. Happy Valentine's Day to the Longhorns. I listened to the game off and on. Parker French started and took the loss. He commited 2 of those errors. All but two of the runs were unearned. The good thing, of course, is that things can only get better from here. Right? Right???? I certainly hope so.
