Game 17: Texas at Oklahoma

As I frequently do for away games, I listened to the game on the radio and kept score while I listened. This report is based on that broadcast.

Texas won 9-5, clinching a win of the series, and extended their regular-season series win streak against the Sooners to 14. Isn't that amazing? Yowza.

Anyway...on to the report...

Play by play:

Jacquez struggled throughout and did not figure in the decision. Milner was credited with the win, moving his record to 3-3. Knebel threw the final two innings and did a good job but it was not a save situation so no save for him. The offense seemed to be on fire. Weiss went 4-for-5 with a triple, 2 runs scored, and 2 batted in. Etier, in the #9 spot, went 2-for-3 with a 2-run triple and a total of 3 runs batted in. Payton, Walsh, and Felts also had multiple hits. The team combined for 15 hits on the day. So nice.
