Game 43: Oklahoma at Texas

The Horns gave up 3 in the second and things did not look good for a while. But, a homerun in the bottom of the 2nd and a 3-spot posted by the Horns in the third turned things around just enough to bring about another Texas win. Whew. With the 4-3 win, the Horns clinched the series win...and with another loss for the Aggies at Mizzou, the Horns now sit all alone atop the conference standings. Yes!

Before I get into my play-by-play, let me just say that the long delays between innings (caused by the fact that the game was being televised) were miserable. Ugh. They made me appreciate the efforts made to speed the game up. Anyway...

The play-by-play...

Green got the win and improved to 4-3. Knebel earned his 14th save of the year (which ties Huston Street's freshman record for saves). Nice.

The Horns go for the sweep tomorrow. Sam Stafford has been announced as the starter for the Horns. Hook 'em!
