I watched the game on FSN. This report is based on that broadcast.

- Brandon Loy (ss) moved Walla to 2b on a 1-4 sac bunt. Loy got the ball a little too close to the mound but the pitcher decided not to risk a throw to 2b.
- That's 2 high throws in a row to the person covering 1b. The first baseman and second baseman both jumped up and caught the throws, though.
- Tant Shepherd (1b) singled over the ss into lf, scoring Walla.
- Cameron Rupp (c) flew out to rf.
- With Russell Moldenhauer (dh) at the plate, Shepherd was picked off (1-3). Ouch.

- Cole Green (rhp) on the mound for the Horns.

- Moldenhauer struck out looking (2-2 count).
- Kevin Keyes (rf) singled on a high-chopper over 3b. The ball was fielded by the ss behind 3b or it might've led to a double for Keyes.
- Kevin Lusson (3b) flew out to lf.
- With Connor Rowe (cf) at the plate, Wacha picked off Keyes! Wow.

- Kenny Jackson (1b) lined out to the pitcher. Nice play by Green!
- Caleb Shofner (3b) grounded out to the pitcher.
- Gregg Alcazar (c) popped out to 2b.

- Rowe struck out looking (1-2 count, 6 pitches).
- Jordan Etier (2b) doubled down the lf line.
- Walla doubled to the lf corner, scoring Etier.

- Shepherd drew a full-count walk putting runners at the corners.
- Which prompted a visit to the mound by Childress.

- Loy doubled down the 3b line. Nice.

- Rupp singled (first pitch) past a diving ss into cf, scoring Loy.
- Moldenhauer flew out to cf at the warning track.

- Shofner grounded out to the pitcher. Green got his glove on the ball and it slowed, rolling toward 2b...about 12 feet or so. He ran after it, picked it up, spun, and smoked the ball to 1b for the out. Yes!
- Alcazar lined out to 1b.
- Arthur grounded out to ss. Close play but the right call was made (did frame-by-frame on TiVo to confirm...ball clearly in glove one frame before foot hit bag).
- Third 1-2-3 inning for the Horns!

- 6th inning, Horns
- Keyes hit a long homerun over the lf fence!
- Lusson grounded out to 1b (unassisted).
- Rowe reached on a high-bouncing infield single to 2b.
- Etier was hit by a 2-2 pitch (on his left shoulder), moving Rowe to 2b.
- Which prompted a pitching change. The Aggies sent Clayton Ehlert (rhp) to the mound, replacing Wacha.
- Walla flew out to lf in the lf/cf gap. Hinojosa made a long run and really nice diving catch to rob Walla of a double.
- Loy drew a full-count walk to load the bases.
- Shepherd grounded out to ss.
- Texas up 6-0.
- 6th inning, Aggies
- The first pitch to Collazo was fouled off the home plate ump's mask.
- Collazo flew out to cf.
- Juengel grounded out to ss.
- Greene out on a soft liner to ss. Great catch by Loy!
- Fourth 1-2-3 inning for the Horns!
- Texas up 6-0.
- 7th inning, Horns
- Rupp singled off the base of the wall in rf. The right fielder made a great play to field the ball off the bounce off the wall, robbing Rupp of a double.
- Moldenhauer struck out swinging (1-2 count).
- Keyes drew a full-count walk.
- Lusson reached on an error by 1b, scoring Rupp and moving Keyes to 3b.
- That looked like a hit to me. The ball was hit hard past the first baseman. Shrug.
- Rowe struck out swinging (2-2 count).
- Etier flew out to rf.
- Texas up 7-0.
- 7th inning, Aggies
- Smith grounded out to ss.
- Hinojosa also grounded out to ss.
- Jackson grounded out to 2b.
- Another 1-2-3 inning!

- A&M sent Kyle Martin (rhp) to the mound, replacing Ehlert.
- Walla drew a full-count walk.
- The Aggie catcher tried to pick Walla off at 1b during Loy's at-bat (2nd pitch) and threw high. Walla advanced to 2b on the error. Which prompted a visit to the mound by Childress.
- Loy singled through the right side, moving Walla to 3b. The right fielder did not pick the ball up cleanly. In fact, he kicked it to his right, allowing Walla to score (E9).
- Shepherd doubled down the lf line, scoring Loy. And, turning the earlier run into an earned run.
- Rupp drew a 9-pitch full-count walk.
- Which prompted a pitching change. the Aggies sent Jake Feckley (rhp) to the mound, replacing Martin.
- Moldenhauer flew out to rf.
- Keyes hit another towering homerun...3 rbi!
- Lusson lined out to rf.
- Rowe flew out to rf.
- Texas up 12-0!
- 8th inning, Aggies
- The home plate ump got drilled (this time in the chest) by another foul ball on the first pitch to Shofner.
- Shofner struck out swinging.
- Alcazar grounded out to ss.
- Arthur struck out swinging.
- Wow. Another 1-2-3 inning!
- Texas up 12-0.
- 9th inning, Horns
- Etier singled through the left side.
- Walla doubled to the lf/cf gap, moving Etier to 3b.
- Loy grounded out to the pitcher. The runners could not advance.
- Shepherd singled into cf, scoring Etier and Walla.
- Rupp flew out to rf.
- With a 1-0 count to Moldenhauer (the ball was thrown way outside), the Aggies changed pitchers again, sending Dylan Mendoza (lhp) to the mound. It appeared that Feckley was having a problem in his throwing arm/hand. Not sure, though.
- Moldenhauer was hit by a pitch (right elbow), moving Shepherd to 2b.
- Keyes lined out to rf.
- Texas up 14-0.
- 9th inning, Aggies
- Collazo popped out to 2b.
- Juengel drew a 5-pitch walk.
- Greene popped out to 1b (in foul territory).
- Smith reached on a fielder's choice. On the play, Lusson fielded a ground ball and tried to throw the runner out from 1b but his throw was off-line and pulled Etier off the bag. E5.
- Hinojosa flew out to rf.
- Texas wins 14-0. Wow.
Complete 1-hit game by Cole Green. What a great performance! At one point, he retired 17 batters in-a-row. Surprisingly, on the offensive side of things, three Longhorns failed to score a run, despite the team scoring 18. The batters went like so...
- Walla: 3-for-5 with 2 doubles, 1 rbi, 3 runs scored, a strikeout, and a walk.
- Loy: 2-for-4 with a double, 2 runs scored, a sac bunt, and a walk.
- Shepherd: 3-for-5 with a double, 4 rbi, 2 runs scored, a strikeout, and a walk.
- Rupp: 3-for-5 with 2 rbi, 2 runs scored, and a walk.
- Moldenhauer: 1-for-5 with a run batted in, 2 strikeouts, and he was hit by a pitch.
- Keyes: 3-for-5 with 2 homeruns (!), 4 rbi, 2 runs scored, 1 strikeout, and 1 walk.
- Lusson: 0-for-5 with a strikeout and he reached on an error (I think he should be 1-for-5 with an rbi but maybe that's just me).
- Rowe: 1-for-5 with 2 strikeouts.
- Etier: 2-for-4 with a double, 2 runs scored, a strikeout, and he was hit by a pitch.
Eighteen hits. And, Sunday...their hitting day...due up. 'Hope they keep the hitting shoes on tomorrow! Hook 'em!
