Tickets on sale for Regional and Super Regional

UT is selling tickets to the Regional and Super Regional. On the assumption that we're likely to host a Regional this year. So, run on over to the the Texas Box office site and order some tickets. I ordered mine about 5 minutes after the email went out to season ticket holders and then promptly forgot to let the rest of you know tickets were on sale. Tsk tsk tsk.

Here's the bulk of the message that went out to season ticket holders:

The University of Texas Longhorns baseball team is awaiting selection as a possible host for a 2009 NCAA Baseball Championship regional site. NCAA Regional sites are announced Sunday, May 24. If UT is announced as a host institution, games at UFCU Disch-Falk Field are scheduled Friday, May 29-Monday, June 1.

In addition, an NCAA Baseball Championship Super Regional could take place Thursday, June 4-Sunday, June 7. A Super Regional is a best two-out-of-three series involving two of the 16 NCAA Regional winners. NCAA Super Regional sites are determined Monday, June 1.

NCAA Regional All-Session reserved tickets are $60, and general admission tickets are $45 for all sessions. NCAA Super Regional All-Session reserved tickets are $30. A $6 handling charge is charged on each order.

Individual game tickets (if available) go on sale just prior to each event. All-Session ticket prices are as listed above regardless of the number of games played.

Parking for the tournament is similar to the regular season. Holders of Longhorn Foundation parking permits are admitted into reserved lots upon presentation of their regular season parking permit.

The stuff I deleted was about how to pay and where/when to pick up your tickets.

By the way (since I'm here), the forecast for tomorrow is calling for rain most of the afternoon. The chance is running from 40% to 60% depending on who's making the forecast. I sure hope it stays away from Disch-Falk. 'Just thought I'd let the out-of-towners know what's up.
