Elsewhere, Day 2
I'm doing this quickly...just so I'll have a record. Not because I really care at this time of day. But, here's how things went elsewhere:
- Fort Worth Regional: TCU beat Oregon State 13-1. And, the Aggies beat Wright State 6-4. Aggies still alive. TCU with the 2-0 record in our "sister" tournament.
- Clemson Regional: Oklahoma State (still proving themselves) beat Clemson 3-2 and are sitting in the driver's seat. Good for them. I'm still not happy with the committee but good for the Cowboys.
- Chapel Hill Regional: Kansas rebounded from their 8-run loss on Friday to beat Dartmouth 16-0. Ouch. Jayhawks still alive.
- Norman Regional: The Sooners lost to the Piggies 6-17. I was very disappointed in my fellow Texas fans this evening for cheering the loss when it was announced. Rooting for the Razorbacks over OU? The Razorbacks? Ugh. Tsk tsk tsk.
- Oxford Regional: Missouri beat Monmouth 9-0. Tigers still alive.
- Houston Regional: Kansas State beat Rice. Wow. 7-6. K-State scored 3 in the top of the 9th. Rice did the same. Luckily, the Wildcats were ahead by one going into the 9th. Wildcats in control at Houston.
- Baton Rouge Regional: Baylor lost a nail-biter, going down 2-3 in 10 innings to LSU.
So, that gives the Big 12 six wins and two losses on the day. All Big 12 teams still alive. Good times. Texas, OSU, and KSU are undefeated.
