Big 12 Tournament - Day 4 summary

The Horns pulled off a very exciting win this morning, beating the Sooners 11-10. The Horns were coasting along with a 6-1 lead going into the 7th when all hell broke loose. The Sooners took a 1-run lead in the 7th, gave up the tying run in the bottom of the 7th, and then gave up the presumed winning run in the 8th. But, the Horns let 'em back into the game, giving up 3 runs in the top of the 9th! Ack! Amazingly, the Horns then scored 3 of their own in the bottom of the inning to win the game. And, wait to see if the Aggies could beat the Tigers.

And, the Aggies did it! Texas A&M beat Missouri 6-2 in the 2nd game of the day. Nicely done. And, then we had to wait around for the conclusion of the 4th game to find out who the Horns would be facing on Sunday.

Oklahoma State won the third game of the day handily, beating Nebraska 11-5. So, going into the final game of the day we knew that if Baylor were to win, we'd be playing OSU. But, if Kansas State beat Baylor, we'd be seeing the Wildcats. I was unable to follow the Baylor/KSU game at all. I tuned into GameTracker just in time to watch the last out or two of the game. Kansas State beat Baylor 3-2. A nail-biter.

So, it's the #5 and #7 seeds (Texas and Kansas State) in the Championship game tomorrow. Hook 'em, Horns!
