Big 12 Tournament - Day 1 summary

In the first game of the day, the Horns lost 2-3 in 10 innings...sadly.

The Aggies, amazingly, kept their losing streak alive in the second game. They lost to OU 1-4. They've now lost 7 games in a row. What in the world is going on with that team? Too weird.

Baylor upset Nebraska 10-4 in the third game.

And, Kansas State upset Oklahoma State 3-2 in the final game of the day.

Three upsets. My guess: if at the start of the day, you'd asked random folks in the crowd to predict outcomes in today's games, most of 'em would've predicted pretty much the opposite of what actually happened. They would've picked Texas, Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Oklahoma State to have markers in the winner's column. Doncha think?

FYI, as usual, I've set up a postseason info page for 2008. It's a catch-all for postseason info. Check it out.
