Injured trainer update
So, remember how someone in the Texas dugout was hit by a line-drive foul ball in yesterday's game? From the Oklahoman:
Sore jaw: Texas trainer Brian Bobier suffered a broken jaw and a broken tooth when he was hit by a line drive fouled into the dugout.
"He's been talking about going on a diet," Texas coach Augie Garrido said. "It looks like he's gonna go on one. It hit him solid. The ball fell straight down from his face. He had the seams imprinted on his face."
Bobier returned to the dugout before the end of the game.
"He was yelling with a mouthful of cotton," Garrido said. "What kind of drugs is he using? It's good to be a trainer."
Ouch.
Hat tip: my dad.
By the way, if you follow that "Oklahoman" link, you'll find a story about the Sooners wearing black jerseys. And, you'll be confused. 'Cause the story says the Sooners wore them "because Nike sent them [black jerseys] to their four 'elite' teams." The story then goes on to list five (5) teams: Southern Cal, Miami, North Carolina, Georgia and Kentucky. Note how that's not 4 teams ("elite" or otherwise). Also note how OU didn't make the list. Sigh...
