A few notes before the Regional starts
Preston Clark is suffering from a bad knee (as usual, the team is not releasing specifics) and will not be available for this weekend's tournament. Brett Lewis will be starting in his place. That's not terrible news. But, it's not good.
Kyle Russell and Adrian Alaniz were named to Collegiate Baseball's All-American Team. Kyle's a first-team selection and Adrian was second-team. Kyle is also a finalist for the Golden Spikes Award.
Bradley Suttle was named to ESPN The Magazine's Academic All-America Second Team.
Make sure you visit the official Austin Regional page on the TexasSports.com site for updates during the tournament. I'll be at the tourney and won't have access to the web so won't be able to post timely updates.
