Game 27: Oklahoma State at Texas

I'm really tired so am not gonna post much tonight. But, I do have to say that Kyle McCulloch pitched a great game tonight. I was so happy to see him put a good game together. He went 8 innings, gave up 3 runs (2 unearned) on 5 hits. Here's the cool thing: he struck out 12. While walking none. Of course, he did hit two. By my count, he threw 113 pitches. He'd thrown 103 by the end of the 7th so I was surprised, despite how well he was pitching, to see him back for the 8th. He got his 2nd win of the season and he really deserved it. Horns won 10-5.

Offensively, the Horns scored 10 runs on 16 hits. Everyone in the lineup got at least one hit. Multi-hitters: Jordan Danks went 3-for-5 with a double and a triple; Drew Stubbs went 2-for-4; Bradley Suttle (swinging from both sides) went 4-for-4 with a triple; and Kyle Russell went 2-for-4 with a double and a 2-strike home run against one of the OSU lefties. Cool.

And, "programming" note: the start time for tomorrow's game has been moved from 2pm to 1pm. That's for those of us that would like to watch the basketball game. Geaux, Horns! Beat the Tigers!
